Welcoming Nadia: Empowering Clients Through Estate Planning

Meet Nadia Castillo, Paralegal

A Personal Journey to Estate Planning

"As a first-generation Mexican-American, I feel that I have a special appreciation for what it means to create a legacy," says Nadia. "As I try to build a legacy that my future self and family will be proud of, I not only value the work it takes to build it, but I also appreciate the necessity to protect said legacy and our loved ones."

For Nadia, Estate Planning is much more than legal paperwork—it's about honoring the lives, stories, and hard work of her clients. She understands firsthand the importance of preserving a legacy, and she is passionate about helping others do the same. "To be able to get to know our clients and their life story, all while reassuring them that their hard work is valued and will be protected, is so impactful," she explains.

"We get to create that sense of safety for clients and their loved ones, and I find that to be the most rewarding."

Making Estate Planning Less Intimidating

Law can feel intimidating, especially when it comes to something as personal as Estate Planning. Nadia understands this and makes it her mission to communicate the process in an approachable way. "I think anything law-related can be intimidating, but especially when it comes to such a personal matter like Estate Planning," Nadia shares. "That is why I think it's vital to talk about these processes in an easily digestible manner. I'm a strong believer that knowledge is power, so being able to effectively communicate to our clients what the process looks like, and what we need from them, enables clients to feel more comfortable and empowered throughout the process."

A Journey Through the Legal World

Nadia’s career began in family law, followed by immigration work. Both fields taught her the importance of providing clarity and peace of mind to clients navigating significant life changes. Now, as she steps into the world of Estate Planning, she carries that same passion forward.

"While I have yet to experience certain estate client interactions, I know how important it is to have peace of mind regarding the logistical aspects of life to be able to enjoy it to the fullest," says Nadia. "I'm excited to be a helping hand to our clients who are looking for that safety and comfort."

Why I Love What I Do

Helping clients feel secure about their legacies is more than just a job for Nadia—it's a calling.

"We get to create that sense of safety for clients and their loved ones, and I find that to be the most rewarding," she reflects. Estate Planning is about preserving legacies and protecting the hard work that families have put into building a future.

If you have questions about Estate Planning or want to discuss how to protect your legacy, Nadia is here to help. Her passion and dedication to creating lasting legacies make her an invaluable part of our team.
